Principal’s Message

 

 

West has served the Rowland Unified School District since 2001, serving in the roles as Kindergarten grade level lead Teacher, Second Grade lead teacher, and Summer School Principal at Hurley Elementary. She was also Hurley’s 2020 Teacher of the Year. West is responsible for leading PLCs and district-wide 2nd grade COP meetings. She is a devoted advocate of and instructional expert in bilingual education, having been honored as the Distinguished Bilingual Teacher of the Year by the Puente Hills’ California Association of Bilingual Education, and as Outstanding Teacher by the Los Angeles County Bilingual Directors’ Association. She is excited to work with the Rorimer Elementary community in her new role.
