This site offers free resources by grade level where users can watch a story or read a story and then complete extended activities based on the story. 
 
MyON by Renaissance offers access until June 30th to their library and news for free. The library tab includes digital books where multiple students can read the same book at the same time. Users can browse by category then choose a specific topic. The news tab provides five articles written for kids each weekday, in both English and Spanish that cover a range of topics, and are reviewed by a child psychologist for appropriateness. Login information is required.

This website provides access to online storytime, book clubs and an online reading program "Spring Into Reading" where users read an online book, complete at-home activities and earn badges. A Los Angeles Public Library Card is required. This is different from the LA County Public Library Card, however, users can sign up for a temporary LA Card using their cell phone number.
 
This site is for users 13 years of age and older. It offers access to online books, audio books, magazines, activity books and more. Users must have an LA Card to "borrow" then read digital titles.
 
This site allows users to borrow and read ebooks and audiobooks from a local public library for free. This site can also be downloaded through the Apple app store and Google play. A Los Angeles County Public Library Card or cell number can be used to access the site.

This link from Authors Everywhere offers read alouds for picture books, early reader and chapter books, plus activities.
 
This site offers ebooks in Spanish . This site is free but requires a valid LA County Public Library Card to access. 
 
This site offers access to today's paper both in Spanish and English that includes an At Home section. For unlimited access to Times reporting on their site and apps, users can subscribe using a Google account, Facebook or Apple accounts for free for one week. The subscription may be cancelled at any time. Students are currently being offered a special rate.

Under the "Education" tab, users will find "At Home Lessons" including three downloadable packets catered to grades K-5, middle school, and high school. Grade appropriate guides contain multiple thematic lesson plans that are aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and the Common Core State Standards.  
 
This site offers an online academy that includes both on-demand videos and activities for all ages, live online courses by grade level, a schedule of interactive live programs with Aquarium educators, including an Earth Day lecture.
 
Under the "For Educators" tab, users can click on "Learning  at home" and find online courses, guided activities per grade, or games and activities.
 
The California Academy of Sciences offers an online academy. By clicking on the "Academy @ Home" icon, users can access STEM activities, science-centric games, videos, and DIY projects.
 
Young Minds Inspired has teamed up with Knott's Berry Farm to bring parents family resources. This link offers downloadable educational activities inspired by Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang for grades K-8. Subjects include Language Arts, STEM, Social Studies, and Math. There is a grade level parent guide with instructions for the activities.

All resources are curriculum-based, for grades K-12. Users must sign up to access.
 
rif.org offers resources that are geared towards teachers. A free 30 day subscription is offered.
